Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s leading connectivity provider, successfully concluded its Techliya programme on March 20th at the Dialog Auditorium. This initiative, part of the Ideamart for Women, is tailored to enhance digital skills and empower women entrepreneurs, developers, and students. Techliya provided vital resources, mentoring, and tools aimed at fostering digital inclusion and supporting technological and entrepreneurial advancements.
The programme concentrated on three main pillars: Business Process Digitalisation through the Enterprise Marketplace, Digital Payments and SME Financing, and International Expansion. Experts from Dialog’s various divisions led these sessions, including Dushantha Ranwala, Shanaka Perera, Nuwan Prasad, and Tharshana Malwatte, alongside collaboration with the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce to engage their female SME community.
Participants praised the initiative for providing access to digital tools and skills that were previously inaccessible, noting the effectiveness of Dialog’s tailored solutions like the Dialog Marketplace and Genie Biz platforms. These platforms offer user-friendly interfaces, seamless integration, 24-hour support, and competitive pricing, all of which are designed to enable business growth and reduce operational costs.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with participants expressing gratitude for the programme’s role in overcoming barriers to digital tool adoption and calling for the continuation of such workshops to further enhance their skills.
Techliya’s success highlights the critical role of ongoing education and support in driving digital transformation within the SME sector. Both Ideamart for Women and Dialog remain dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs and fostering innovation in Sri Lanka’s digital landscape.
