Startup Bangladesh Limited has invested in Shikho, an EdTech startup, to accelerate the adoption of AI-driven learning tools in Bangladesh. With over $8 million in total funding, the collaboration aims to scale access to quality education across urban and rural areas, fostering an inclusive, mobile-first learning experience.
Kuwait Times is supporting the second edition of CODED’s Academy X program, empowering young women with skills in AI, smart application development, and entrepreneurship. The program expands its capacity to 500 students this year. Industry players like Zain Kuwait and other strategic partners are contributing to its success.
EdVentures and the Mastercard Foundation launched the EdTech Fellowship to support innovation and expand access to education in Egypt. The program has successfully impacted 147,200 learners, empowered youth and women, and created jobs. Eleven startups received equity-free investment to scale their operations and drive Egypt’s EdTech transformation.

EdVentures, the corporate venture capital arm of Nahdet Misr Publishing Group, has invested in Egyptian ed-tech startups Schoolz and Ibn Sina Training Academy. This brings EdVentures’ portfolio to 24 startups, supporting innovation in student transportation and specialized medical training, further strengthening its position in the MENA ed-tech sector.

Akhdar, the largest Arabic platform for educational content, has joined forces with Value Maker Studio (VMS) to enhance educational outreach and support tech startups in their expansion into the Saudi market. Akhdar offers a wide array of educational materials in Arabic, accessible in under 15 minutes, and is used by over 1.5 million users globally. VMS’s “Bridge Program” is set to aid Egyptian startups to navigate and penetrate the Saudi marketplace with a robust support system, starting January 2024.
