Jordan has approved a future-focused national digital transformation strategy for 2026–2028, centered on citizen-centric services, data-driven governance, digital inclusion, cybersecurity, 5G, and digital identity. With 57 planned projects, the strategy aims to strengthen digital infrastructure, improve government performance and drive economic modernization under the vision of a secure, digitally empowered Jordan.
Orange Jordan sponsored the GreenTech Makerthon 2025, enabling more than 60 youth to develop AI- and IoT-driven green solutions for climate, waste, energy and agriculture challenges. Organized with national and international partners, the program included training, mentoring and prototype development, reflecting Orange Jordan’s commitment to sustainability and innovation-driven digital transformation.

The UAE and Gulf nations continue to dominate MENA internet performance, with speeds exceeding 300 Mbps and a growing divide between high-speed leaders and the rest of the region. Jordan’s strong showing highlights accelerating digital progress beyond the Gulf as connectivity competition intensifies.
Jordan ranks third in the Arab world and 29th globally in AI workforce adoption, reflecting its growing strength in digital transformation, education, and innovation-driven development.
AQABA – October 27, 2025: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II inaugurated the Aqaba Digital Hub, Jordan’s first fully integrated digital infrastructure project and one of the largest data and technology facilities in the Middle East.
Jordan’s Ministry of Education and Replit have launched Siraj, an Arabic-language AI learning assistant, reaching 100,000 students in its pilot phase and paving the way for nationwide AI-enabled education.
Jordan’s mobile phone imports fell by 21% in value and 19% in volume during the first nine months of 2025, signaling weaker consumer purchasing power and reduced telecom market activity. According to the Jordan Customs Department, 1.34 million devices worth JD123 million were imported, down from 1.7 million worth JD143 million in 2024.
Jordan’s land freight volume rose 37.7% year-on-year in Q2 2025 to 10.5 million tonnes, driven by sharp export growth and higher transit cargo. Truck movement and freight companies also expanded, reflecting the continued recovery and modernization of Jordan’s logistics sector.
