Orange Jordan has announced its sponsorship of the GreenTech Makerthon 2025, reinforcing its role as a responsible digital leader committed to environmental innovation and youth empowerment. The program brings together more than 60 young participants from across Jordan to develop AI- and IoT-powered green solutions aligned with national climate priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 7, 11, 12, 13).
Organized by Beyond Group Consulting and GreenTech, in partnership with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and supported by KOICA, the initiative is held in coordination with the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship. Participants work on practical solutions in waste management, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture and climate adaptation, leveraging artificial intelligence, IoT and circular economy principles.
Orange Jordan said its support reflects a strong belief in innovation as a driver of sustainable development and green entrepreneurship. Participants underwent training, mentoring and prototype development, culminating in a final Innovation Bootcamp where the top 10 teams presented their solutions to experts, investors and partner organizations.
The initiative underscores Orange Jordan’s commitment to fostering digital inclusion, entrepreneurship and climate-focused innovation as part of its broader CSR strategy and alignment with Jordan’s digital transformation goals.
