Alliance Networks, a key digital infrastructure service provider, has embarked on a pioneering initiative to enhance connectivity in the Gulf region. The company has forged partnerships with regional and global entities like GCC Interconnection Authority, Gulf Bridge International, Amsterdam IX, and other telecom service providers. This collaboration aims to construct a robust network infrastructure.
Strategic Integration and Expansion
Leveraging the GCCIA’s terrestrial fiber optic system, Alliance Networks plans to connect all GCC countries, including Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, and Kuwait. The network will integrate terrestrial and submarine cable systems, enhancing bandwidth and capacity.
Network Development and Services
CEO Adel Al Daylami emphasized Alliance Networks’ commitment to improving regional digital infrastructure. The company will manage a 1,400km terrestrial fiber cable linked with regional subsea cables for wider connectivity to Europe and Asia. Services will be built over the Optical Transport Network, offering low-latency, cloud connectivity, and Internet peering across the GCC.
Enhancing Regional Connectivity
The GCC Fiber Network will provide secure and reliable connectivity within the GCC, independent of the power grid. Alliance Networks’ initiative to connect data centers and exchange platforms marks a significant step in enhancing regional digital capabilities and solidifying its industry leadership.
