Kuwait Reaffirms Commitment to Human Rights in AI

Kuwait reiterated its commitment to human rights principles in artificial intelligence (AI) at the 23rd session of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah. Diplomatic Attache Jana Al-Dhafiri emphasized respecting human rights amidst technological advancements and highlighted Kuwait’s efforts in AI, including specialized bodies, AI labs, and national strategies for digital transformation. She called for international cooperation and frameworks to ensure AI benefits while addressing challenges such as inequality. Kuwait aims to align its AI initiatives with global standards and sustainable development goals.
