Riyadh: The Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawah, unveiled a groundbreaking national initiative in Riyadh on Wednesday to improve the quality of internet services in the Kingdom, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The “National Internet Switchboard” initiative is a key component of the National Transformation Program 2020, which aims to fulfill the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. This initiative focuses on activating digital services and enhancing information security across the Kingdom.
The initiative is spearheaded by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, with the participation of the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), and various telecom partners.
The launch event was attended by KACST President Prince Dr. Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed and several senior officials, marking a significant step forward in Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation journey.
