AAIOT Partners with Oracle and RIT to Drive Digital Transformation in Kuwait at GITEX 2024

KUWAIT: During its participation in GITEX 2024 in Dubai, the Artificial Intelligence of Things Association (AAIOT) announced two key partnerships with Oracle and the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). These strategic alliances aim to propel the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies throughout Kuwait, aligning with the nation’s Vision 2035 to become a regional technology hub.

As part of this collaboration, Oracle will contribute its expertise in cloud technology, data analytics, AI, machine learning, and cybersecurity, strengthening Kuwait’s digital infrastructure. AAIOT will work closely with local stakeholders, including government agencies, private enterprises, and academic institutions, to tailor these advanced technologies to Kuwait’s unique market needs.

Omar Saleh, Oracle’s Vice President for the Gulf region, commented: “We are pleased to join forces with AAIOT to accelerate Kuwait’s digital transformation through AI and IoT. This partnership reinforces our dedication to supporting Kuwait’s vision of becoming a regional leader in advanced technology, and we are excited to contribute to this ambitious journey.”

Driving Innovation Across Sectors

The Memorandum of Understanding outlines joint initiatives between Oracle and AAIOT, including technical workshops, training programs, research collaborations, and seminars aimed at advancing local talent. These efforts focus on building a tech-savvy society capable of harnessing digital solutions to increase efficiency across various sectors, such as healthcare, education, and industry.

Sheikh Mohammad Al-Sabah, President of AAIOT, expressed optimism about the Oracle partnership, stating: “With Oracle’s international expertise and our understanding of local needs, we believe this collaboration will lay a strong foundation for Kuwait’s digital transformation.”

Empowering National Talent

In a separate agreement with the Rochester Institute of Technology, AAIOT seeks to empower and upskill Kuwaiti youth in digital transformation, AI, and smart city technologies. This partnership focuses on delivering specialized education and training programs to equip young Kuwaitis with skills aligned with Vision 2035’s aspirations.

Sheikh Mohammad Al-Sabah emphasized that the RIT collaboration is key to developing a skilled national workforce capable of leading Kuwait’s technological advancement. RIT’s President praised this partnership, expressing enthusiasm for working closely with AAIOT to prepare a new generation of specialists in advanced technology fields.
