Omani Tender Board Signs Framework Contracts for Technology Supply to Government Agencies

Muscat – The Secretariat General of the Tender Board has signed six framework contracts with Omani companies to supply desktop computers, laptops, and tablets to various government agencies. This initiative is designed to enhance procurement efficiency and swiftly address the needs of government entities.

The contracts include 228 options, supporting local content and promoting the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This move follows a successful pilot program for purchasing government vehicles through an electronic order management system.

Eng. Najat bint Ali al Siyabi emphasized the importance of integrating electronic automation into the procurement process. Meanwhile, Moaz bin Ahmed al Hanaei, CEO of Ansar Technology, noted that these contracts would strengthen local competition and facilitate expansion into regional markets.
