Otaxi Partners with Yango Group and ITHCA to Transform Mobility Services in Oman

Otaxi, a leading taxi service provider in Oman and part of the ITHCA Group, has announced a strategic partnership with Yango Group, a global technology leader known for its innovative services including ride-hailing, cloud technologies, and AI voice assistance. This collaboration, in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT), aims to enhance mobility services and modernize Oman’s digital infrastructure.

The partnership between Otaxi and Yango Group seeks to improve taxi services and provide sustainable solutions that support the digital transformation of the mobility sector in Oman. Both ITHCA Group and Yango are set to make significant investments to develop Otaxi’s business model, creating new growth opportunities for the local taxi industry.

In addition to enhancing people mobility, a new parcel delivery service has been launched, allowing users to facilitate fast deliveries through the Otaxi app with a single click. This feature enables order pickups from stores and restaurants and supports sending gifts and personal packages. Users will also gain access to platforms for retail, e-commerce, and logistics services to streamline delivery processes for small and medium enterprises.

Yango Group has announced plans to launch the Yango superapp in Oman soon, which will integrate Otaxi rides and the new parcel delivery service for residents and tourists, along with other digital offerings from the Yango ecosystem.

The Ministry of Transport has welcomed this strategic partnership, emphasizing its potential to enhance the country’s transportation infrastructure. The cooperation aims to expand transportation options, drive innovation, and provide an efficient ride-hailing experience for both residents and visitors, contributing to economic growth in Oman.

Eng. Said bin Abdullah al Mandhari, CEO of ITHCA Group, highlighted the importance of this partnership, stating that it will allow Otaxi to leverage Yango Group’s expertise gained from operations in over 30 countries, thereby enhancing services and elevating the customer experience.

Eng. Harith al Maqbali, CEO of Otaxi, expressed confidence in the partnership, noting that it would open new horizons for Otaxi to deliver the best services to users while maintaining a commitment to quality.
