Red Sea Global (RSG), a multi-project developer behind regenerative tourism destinations such as AMAALA and The Red Sea in Saudi Arabia, has introduced the region’s first Unified Critical Communication System (UCCS). This system integrates three advanced technologies: push-to-talk (PTT), air-to-ground communication, and digital mobile radio (DMR) solutions, in collaboration with Zain KSA.
The unified communication system is designed to provide secure and reliable connectivity for RSG’s expansive projects, combining voice, video, geolocation, and text messaging into a seamless network. This integration ensures communication can occur across various platforms while maintaining the highest standards of cybersecurity and data protection.
Fahad Sahmi AlSahma, Acting Chief Business and Wholesale Officer at Zain KSA, described the system as one that will streamline communication across air, land, and sea, boosting project development efficiency while ensuring robust data security.
This is just the latest partnership between Zain and RSG. In 2023, the two companies also introduced the world’s first zero-carbon 5G network at the Six Senses Southern Dunes resort at The Red Sea Project, showcasing their commitment to sustainable innovation.
Red Sea Global, fully owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), is a vertically integrated real estate developer with a diversified portfolio spanning tourism, residential, infrastructure, transport, healthcare, and services. The company’s projects include The Red Sea, which welcomed guests in 2023, and AMAALA, set to open in 2025. Another project, Thuwal Private Retreat, is scheduled to launch this year, while RSG is also upgrading Al Wajh Airport in Tabuk Province.
