Princess Sumaya and DCO Secretary-General Discuss Collaboration to Advance Jordan’s Digital Transformation

HRH Princess Sumaya bint Hassan, President of the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) and Chair of the Board of Trustees at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, met with Deemah Al-Yahya, Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), on Saturday to explore potential collaborative initiatives supporting Jordan’s digital transformation.

The discussions focused on strengthening future cooperation between the DCO and RSS through innovative projects and programs aimed at advancing shared goals in digital transformation and technological innovation. Princess Sumaya emphasized the strategic importance of partnering with the DCO, highlighting its role in fostering digital integration and supporting global digital transformation efforts.

“RSS seeks to develop strategic partnerships with leading international organizations to enhance scientific research and technological innovation in both Jordan and the region,” Princess Sumaya said. She further emphasized the need to accelerate digital transformation, integrating efforts with global academic and research institutions to achieve sustainable development goals and improve international competitiveness.

Al-Yahya acknowledged the importance of partnerships with prominent scientific institutions, praising RSS’s role in advancing scientific research and innovation. She also commended Princess Sumaya University for Technology’s contribution to developing human capital and fostering an advanced educational and research environment.

The Digital Cooperation Organization, established in 2020, is an international entity focused on promoting innovation-driven cooperation and driving inclusive growth in the digital economy.
