During the state visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Sultanate of Oman, at the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oman’s Civil Aviation Authority to boost cooperation in meteorology.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani on behalf of Bahrain and Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Oman’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, emphasized the Kingdom’s commitment, under the leadership of HM the King and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to strengthening strategic relations with Oman.
The partnership will focus on collaboration in meteorology to enhance civil aviation, navigation, and sustainable development. Key areas include exchanging expertise, improving weather systems, providing training, and addressing climate challenges to ensure safety and promote integration within the GCC.
