Qi Launches SuperQi App in Iraq, Revolutionizing Digital Payments and Financial Inclusion

Baghdad, Iraq – Qi, a leader in the FinTech sector, has successfully launched its cutting-edge 3rd Generation App, SuperQi, in collaboration with Ant International and powered by Alipay+ Wallet Tech solutions. This transformative platform integrates a digital lifestyle super app with a fully digital bank, making significant strides in financial inclusion and digitalizing Iraq’s financial services.

Since its launch in July 2024, SuperQi has combined Western digital banking features with Asia’s leading super app model. The app is available in Arabic, English, and Kurdish, serving millions of Iraqis with a wide array of services such as scan-to-pay, money transfers, bill payments, loans, installments, mobile recharge, shopping, and travel payments. SuperQi also supports Iraq’s growing financial ecosystem, featuring over 20,000 POS merchants and 10,000 cash-out agents.

SuperQi aims to reach over 30% of Iraq’s population by 2026, targeting more than 15 million app users within three years. Qi has already made a notable impact on financial inclusion, increasing the rate of banked individuals from 5% to nearly 50%, and continues to expand Iraq’s financial infrastructure.

Mr. Bahaa Abdulhussein, Chairman of Qi, stated that the partnership with Ant International goes beyond advancing digital finance, representing a broader shift toward a more interconnected, inclusive, and technologically advanced Iraq. With the launch of SuperQi, Qi envisions a cashless Iraq where financial services are accessible to everyone, especially the unbanked population.

This collaboration aims to address the evolving financial and lifestyle needs of Iraqis and foster economic modernization by providing secure, flexible payment solutions for businesses and customers alike.
