Bahrain Launches Parliamentary Digital Transformation and AI Projects for 2025-2026

Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives in Bahrain, launched the country’s parliamentary digital transformation and AI projects plan for 2025–2026. The event was attended by key officials, including Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary General of the Council of Representatives, and Dr. Yasser Saqr Al-Shirawi, Assistant Secretary General for Resources and Services.

The Speaker praised the modernization efforts of the General Secretariat under Al Buainain’s leadership and emphasized the role of digital transformation and AI in enhancing parliamentary efficiency. He highlighted that the initiative aligns with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The strategic plan includes four main objectives and 20 key projects, including eight AI initiatives and 30 electronic services. Notable projects include the Nuwab platform, parliamentary adviser, digital legal adviser, Nuwab mobile app, and an audio summary platform (podcast), all aimed at advancing legislative, oversight, service, and informational activities.
