EDOTCO Bangladesh, the leading integrated telecommunications infrastructure provider in the country, has unveiled its newly modernized 5G-ready Tower Operation Center (TOC) in Dhaka. The state-of-the-art facility serves as a real-time monitoring hub, enabling the efficient management of telecom towers across the nation with enhanced operational performance, connectivity, and energy optimization.
The event was jointly inaugurated by Major General (Retd) Md Emdad ul Bari, Chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), and Mohd Shuhada Othman, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh. EDOTCO Bangladesh Managing Director Sunil Issac also officiated the ceremony.
Major General Md Emdad ul Bari emphasized the importance of not only expanding connectivity but also fostering an ecosystem that supports modern, technology-driven operational facilities. This aligns with Bangladesh’s goal of building a resilient and sustainable telecom infrastructure.
High Commissioner Mohd Shuhada Othman highlighted that EDOTCO has been at the forefront of innovation in Bangladesh’s digital transformation, contributing significantly to the country’s growing digital economy. He also praised the partnership between Malaysia and Bangladesh, noting that Bangladesh’s young, tech-savvy population presents vast potential for the nation to become a regional digital hub.
Sunil Issac expressed pride in the new TOC, calling it a major milestone for EDOTCO Bangladesh, which continues to focus on empowering communities and driving economic progress through reliable telecom infrastructure.
