MetLife Bangladesh has enhanced its mobile app, ‘One by MetLife,’ evolving it into a more diversified platform. Originally developed for MetLife clients, the app is now accessible to both clients and non-clients and is available across iOS, Android, and web platforms. This expansion ensures that a wider audience can easily access essential health and financial services.
With over 1.3 million downloads, the app offers a wide range of services, including 24/7 free telemedicine consultations, online medicine delivery, doctor appointments, health assessments, and financial planning solutions. It also provides personalized health tools, disease prevention resources, and financial protection services.
Sanjeev Kapur, Chief Marketing Officer for MetLife Asia, emphasized that Bangladesh is a key market for MetLife. He noted that by leveraging technology, the company is supporting individuals to take control of their health and financial well-being. MetLife Bangladesh’s CEO, Ala Ahmad, also reaffirmed the company’s commitment to innovation and investment in digital healthcare solutions to support the country’s economy and the insurance sector.
The app’s growth has been significant, with more than 1 million downloads by April 2024. It has won numerous awards, including the Best Innovation Award at Bangladesh Innovation Fest 2022 and the Mobile App of the Year award at the Insurance Asia Awards in 2023. With the new updates, including free health benefits like flood and heat alerts, MetLife continues to innovate and provide accessible healthcare and financial solutions to the people of Bangladesh.
