Orange Jordan Launches Fourth Edition of “Inspiring Change through Digital World” Award to Celebrate Women in Tech

Orange Jordan has launched the fourth edition of the “Inspiring Change through Digital World” award, coinciding with International Women’s Day on March 8th. Sponsored by Capital Bank and in partnership with the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (int@j), this award aims to celebrate and support outstanding women entrepreneurs in the tech sector.

The award focuses on expanding women’s participation in the ICT sector and empowering them to contribute to the national economy with their innovative projects. The top three winners will receive JD 3,000, JD 2,000, and JD 1,000, respectively, along with a special JD 2,000 award for the best project in the fintech field.

Eng. Rana Al Dababneh, Chief Corporate Communication and Sustainability Officer at Orange Jordan, emphasized the award’s significance as a platform to honor creative women entrepreneurs and create sustainable job opportunities in the tech field. Capital Bank and int@j also expressed their pride in supporting women’s empowerment in ICT and their role in fostering innovation.

Zain Asfour, Head of the Women Economic Empowerment Unit at int@j, highlighted the growing impact of female entrepreneurs in addressing societal needs and driving economic growth through innovative solutions. The initiative is part of their commitment to increasing women’s participation at all levels of the tech sector.

Women interested in participating can register by March 31, 2025. The competition is open to founders, co-founders, CEOs, or executives of active and registered startups in Jordan that focus on societal and environmental impact and sustainability goals. The startup must also have at least 25% female representation in its team.
