Jahrat Adib Chowdhury Appointed Deputy CEO of Banglalink, a First for Bangladesh’s Telecom Industry

Banglalink has appointed Jahrat Adib Chowdhury as its new Deputy CEO, marking a historic milestone for the company and Bangladesh’s telecom industry. Jahrat, who joined Banglalink in 2014, previously served as the Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary.

With over 20 years of experience spanning multiple industries, Jahrat has been instrumental in Banglalink’s transformation from a traditional telecom operator to the most innovative digital service provider in Bangladesh. She has led several strategic projects, including asset-light initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts, contributing significantly to the company’s success.

In her new role, Jahrat will collaborate closely with the senior leadership team to shape the company’s strategic direction. She will also work on driving Banglalink’s financial services ambitions while ensuring exceptional service to customers and creating new opportunities for growth in the country.

Jahrat, a Barrister-at-Law from Lincoln’s Inn in the UK and an alumna of Harvard Business School, will also continue to oversee Legal, Corporate Governance, and ESG responsibilities in her new role. She is the first female Deputy CEO in Bangladesh’s telecom sector.
