Oman Vision 2040: International Gaming Infrastructure Boost with True Gamers’ Five‑Club Launch

Partnership with Muscat Investment Management House to bring world‑class gaming arenas to Oman

The leading international network of gaming clubs has announced its entry into Oman through a master franchise partnership with Muscat Investment Management House (MIMH). Under the agreement, MIMH via its entertainment arm — one of Oman’s reputable investment conglomerates — will open five True Gamers clubs across the sultanate, with the first flagship venue set to open in Muscat’s Central Entertainment Park “Action Oman” at Oman Automobile Association by the end of 2025.

This expansion aligns with Oman Vision 2040’s goal to diversify the economy through digital innovation, tourism, and creative industries. As the first international esports club network of this scale in the country, True Gamers will bring professional‑grade arenas, streaming studios, and tournament‑ready facilities previously unavailable in Oman. The project is set to create skilled jobs, attract regional tournaments, and strengthen Muscat’s role as a hub for digital entertainment and tourism.

Oman’s esports and gaming sector is among the fastest‑growing in the GCC. Nearly 50% of the population is under 25, with GDP per capita above USD 22,000 — a young, high‑spending, digital‑native audience. In 2024, the Oman Esports Federation held over 15 official tournaments, plus dozens of grassroots events. Esports development is part of Oman Vision 2040, while the Tahawul Digital Transformation Program aims to digitize 80% of public services by 2025, enabling growth in cloud gaming and competitive esports.

This Oman launch follows True Gamers’ recent agreement in Riyadh, where two venues are currently under construction, marking the brand’s broader MENA rollout. 2025 will also see new franchise openings in Casablanca, Mecca and Jordan, with a European debut planned for 2026. “We’ve grown by 140% year-on-year, welcoming over 450,000 players at our cafés in 2024 alone,” said Anton Vasilenko, co-founder and CEO of True Gamers. “Oman’s dynamic gaming community deserves world-class venues where both fans and pros can connect and compete.”

Their first Omani club will feature multiple esports arenas, high-performance PC and console stations, streaming booths, and a spectator gallery — all adjacent to family-friendly attractions like bowling and a kids’ zone. Subsequent venues will roll out across Muscat’s residential districts, University campus and coastal tourism hubs and shopping malls, aiming to foster local talent and host regional tournaments.

True Gamers is an international gaming organization headquartered in ABGM, dedicated to building innovative experiences for gamers worldwide. This year they will become the first GCC-based brand to host an international esports tournament in the region, further solidifying its leadership in the market.Muscat Investment Management House was founded in 1996, it has grown into a flagship Investment group with more than multiple diversified subsidiaries across Oman and the region, known for its focus on community development and creative vision.
