Algeria has inaugurated a new technology hub in Algiers, led by the National Investment Fund (NIIF), as part of its National Digital Transformation Strategy. The initiative, unveiled on September 15, brings together key players including Optimum Telecom Algeria (Gezi), IT-DEV, INET, and SMART TEST.
NIIF General Manager Saleh Labbani signed the agreement with the heads of the four companies, emphasizing the hub’s role in consolidating expertise, infrastructure, and technological resources to drive innovation. The hub will focus particularly on advancing digitalization in the finance sector, while also contributing to wider economic development.
Officials stressed that this initiative is a cornerstone of Algeria’s strategy to modernize state institutions and strengthen its presence in the regional technology landscape. By creating a collaborative ecosystem, the hub aims to position Algeria as a leading digital reference point in North Africa.
