NetCom Learning Bangladesh, Algerian Envoy Explore Partnership to Train One Million in Tech Skills

Dhaka — In a move to strengthen cross-border collaboration in digital education, NetCom Learning Bangladesh hosted Abdelouahab Saidani, the Ambassador of Algeria to Bangladesh, for a high-level meeting on Tuesday aimed at advancing technology skills training and educational cooperation.

According to a press release, discussions focused on a potential partnership to train one million Algerians in critical technological disciplines such as artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and cloud computing. The initiative aligns closely with Algeria’s “Digital Algeria 2030” strategy, which seeks to drive economic diversification and accelerate the nation’s digital transformation.

During the meeting, Abdur Rahman Maman, Head of Partnerships at NetCom Learning Bangladesh, presented a roadmap to empower over five million Algerian teachers through specialized upskilling programs. The plan aims to strengthen digital literacy, expand workforce readiness, and support Algeria’s growing demand for technology professionals.

Ambassador Saidani expressed keen interest in the collaboration, noting its potential to contribute to Algeria’s education and innovation ecosystem. He also indicated plans to engage with Algeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to explore formal cooperation frameworks in the areas of education, digital skills, and talent development.

The envoy toured NetCom Learning’s facilities in Dhaka, meeting with departmental heads and reviewing ongoing digital training initiatives before concluding the visit with a luncheon.
