Humain and AirTrunk Form $3 Billion Partnership to Build AI Data Centres in Saudi Arabia

Saudi-based artificial intelligence company Humain and Asia-Pacific data centre giant AirTrunk have entered a strategic partnership to develop large-scale, AI-ready data centres across Saudi Arabia. The initial project represents an estimated $3 billion investment to establish a major data centre campus in the Kingdom.

The agreement brings together three global investment powerhouses — Humain, owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF); AirTrunk, backed by Blackstone and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board; and Blackstone itself, which will jointly lead the financing, development, and operations of next-generation AI infrastructure.

Under the partnership, Humain will spearhead Saudi Arabia’s national initiative to deliver hyperscale, AI-optimized data infrastructure, while AirTrunk and Blackstone will focus on design, construction, and operational execution. The collaboration also aims to attract hyperscalers, enterprise clients, and foster local talent development to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s data economy.

According to Data Centre Dynamics, Humain — established by PIF in May 2025 — plans to deploy up to 6.6GW of data centre capacity over the next decade. Its facilities will integrate advanced computing hardware, including NVIDIA, AMD, Groq, and Qualcomm GPUs, to support the Kingdom’s rapidly expanding AI ecosystem.

This partnership marks a major step in positioning Saudi Arabia as a regional leader in digital infrastructure, aligning with Vision 2030’s ambitions to build a diversified, innovation-driven economy.
