Orange Maroc Launches ‘Live Intelligence’ to Power Morocco’s Digital and AI Transformation

Mohammedia — Orange Maroc has unveiled its new generative AI platform, “Live Intelligence,” marking a major milestone in Morocco’s journey toward secure, sovereign, and inclusive digital transformation. The launch event, held at Technopolis Rabat, brought together government leaders, industry experts, and executives from the Orange Group to highlight the Kingdom’s growing role in global AI innovation.

Built as a multi-LLM SaaS platform, Live Intelligence enables enterprises to generate content, process internal data, and automate business workflows within a secure, localized digital ecosystem. The platform is supported by Orange Business Maroc’s Data & AI Competence Center, based in Rabat, which employs over 1,000 professionals, including 120 AI and data engineering experts.

Orange Maroc CEO Hendrik Kasteel said the initiative reflects the company’s mission to democratize access to artificial intelligence:

“Our ambition is clear: to make AI accessible, safe, and inclusive for all Moroccan companies—big, medium, and emerging. Innovation only matters when it is shared and responsible.”

Kasteel also addressed the challenge of “Shadow AI”—the use of unregulated online AI tools that risk data exposure—and positioned Live Intelligence as a secure, sovereign alternative built to protect national data integrity while driving productivity and innovation.

Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition, praised the initiative as “a concrete illustration of Morocco’s national momentum in artificial intelligence,” noting that AI is now a core pillar of the Kingdom’s administrative and economic transformation under the “Maroc Digital 2030” strategy. She emphasized that investments in fiber networks, 5G, and the upcoming national sovereign cloud are critical enablers for scaling AI solutions.

Aliette Mousnier-Lompré, CEO of Orange Business Services, added that Live Intelligence represents an autonomous, data-compliant alternative to public AI technologies, combining innovation with rigorous security and ethical standards.

Already deployed in Europe, where it serves over 90,000 users, the platform has demonstrated measurable gains in productivity, decision-making, and organizational agility. Its expansion into Morocco strengthens the country’s position as a regional AI hub, fostering responsible digital transformation and reinforcing national data sovereignty.

With Live Intelligence, Orange Maroc cements its role as a strategic partner for businesses and public institutions seeking to innovate securely and sustainably, advancing Morocco’s vision of becoming a leading force in AI and digital governance across Africa and beyond.
