Zarea Limited, one of Pakistan’s largest B2B commodities platforms, has announced a strategic shift to strengthen its technology-led positioning, including the acquisition of the global domain www.zarea.com and the launch of an AI-powered commodities assistant. The update was shared in a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on January 8, 2026.
The company said the acquisition of the global domain supports its international branding strategy and strengthens its digital identity as it prepares for broader global engagement. Alongside this, Zarea has completed significant upgrades to its enterprise and supply chain systems, integrating cloud-native architecture and AI-enabled technologies to enhance performance, security, and scalability.
As part of this transition, Zarea introduced “Zarea AI — Your Commodities Assistant,” an AI-driven feature designed to support users with commodity discovery, pricing insights, market intelligence, and platform navigation. The company also confirmed that it has secured trademark and copyright registrations in Pakistan to safeguard its brand and digital assets.
The technology-focused strategy builds on Zarea’s earlier move into international trade. In August 2025, the company completed its first export shipment to the United Arab Emirates, marking the start of its expansion beyond the domestic market. Zarea stated that the UAE shipment was part of its broader plan to access global demand and diversify its operational footprint.
By combining digital transformation initiatives with international market entry, Zarea aims to position itself for sustained growth across technology-enabled services and global commodities commerce.
