Cisco has officially appointed a new Vice President and General Manager to lead its operations across the Middle East, Africa, Türkiye, Romania, and the CIS. Starting May 1, the new appointee will take over the strategy and commercial operations for these regions, focusing heavily on enhancing security, modernizing workplaces, and establishing the necessary infrastructure for AI integration. The incoming leader brings 30 years of industry experience, including two decades within the company where they previously directed investment strategies and digital acceleration programs across the African continent.
This leadership change follows the retirement of the previous head after a successful 30-year career with the organization. The transition is designed to maintain the momentum of digital transformation projects that have already seen significant progress in recent years. Company leadership noted that the new executive’s deep understanding of the regional digital ecosystem will be vital in helping customers and partners unlock the full potential of emerging technologies. The appointee expressed a strong commitment to fostering innovation and creating lasting economic value through advanced digitalization and AI adoption.
