Egypt and SAP Discuss Expanding Cloud Infrastructure and Digital Talent

Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology recently met with the Regional President for SAP EMEA to discuss deepening the company’s footprint within the country. The high-level talks focused on expanding SAP’s local investments and scaling its outsourcing operations to better serve the regional market. Central to the discussions was the enhancement of cloud computing services, specifically aimed at supporting digital sovereignty by securing national data and applications on advanced cloud platforms while introducing AI-driven capabilities to the local economy.

Beyond infrastructure, a significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to human capital development. Both parties explored the creation of specialized training programs designed to equip Egyptian youth with technical skills aligned with global industry standards. The ministry highlighted its strategy to reinforce the nation’s position as a premier hub for cross-border IT services, while SAP leadership reaffirmed their commitment to the market, noting plans to invest further in skill development to empower the next generation of digital professionals.
