Dubai-based systems integrator Cloud Box Technologies has appointed Laxmi Nageswari as its first Chief AI Officer, simultaneously unveiling a structured AI strategy it says will embed artificial intelligence across all its service lines rather than treating it as a discrete offering.
The strategy rests on three components: integrated AI across cybersecurity, data analytics, automation, and cloud services; an Algo-as-a-Service model designed to deploy reusable AI models at scale; and a Centre of Excellence to govern adoption, manage research, and develop internal talent. The company described the framework as a shift from traditional IT infrastructure provision toward full-spectrum digital transformation.
In her new role, Nageswari will oversee strategy, innovation, partnerships, and capability development across the AI portfolio. Managing Director Ranjith Kaippada said the appointment and framework are aligned with the UAE’s National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031.
Cloud Box Technologies has positioned the move as a structural evolution — connecting hardware, applications, and talent into what it described as a cohesive platform for enterprise AI adoption across the Middle East.
Editor’s Note: The creation of a dedicated CAIO role at a mid-tier regional integrator reflects the degree to which AI governance is becoming a commercial differentiator in the UAE’s crowded IT services market. Watch whether the Algo-as-a-Service model gains traction with enterprise clients as a lower-friction alternative to bespoke AI development.
