Viasat, Türksat and SkyFive partner to enable in-flight connectivity roaming between MEA and Europe

Viasat, Türksat, and SkyFive have partnered to enable seamless in-flight connectivity (IFC) roaming between the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, expanding cross-regional broadband access for aviation.

The collaboration will integrate satellite and air-to-ground networks, allowing airlines to offer continuous connectivity as aircraft move across different coverage zones. This approach is designed to eliminate service interruptions and improve passenger experience on long-haul and cross-continental routes.

By combining Viasat’s satellite capabilities, Türksat’s regional coverage, and SkyFive’s air-to-ground technology, the partnership aims to deliver more consistent and high-performance inflight internet services. The move addresses growing demand from airlines and passengers for reliable connectivity during flights.

The initiative reflects increasing efforts to create interoperable connectivity ecosystems that can support mobility across regions, particularly as digital expectations extend into travel environments.

As aviation connectivity becomes more critical, such partnerships are expected to play a key role in enabling scalable, cross-border service delivery.

Editor’s Note:
Seamless IFC roaming highlights the push toward interoperable connectivity across regions and networks. As mobility demands grow, integrated satellite and air-to-ground solutions will define the next phase of aviation connectivity.
