Tradeling Holding, the B2B e-commerce platform under the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), has finalized an agreement to acquire the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) distribution business of Axiom Telecom. The move further solidifies Tradeling’s role as a leading technology partner in the region.
Serving over 50,000 customers, Tradeling has seen impressive growth, with order volumes increasing fourfold since 2023. This year alone, Tradeling has shipped 3.3 million units, and projections indicate the company will surpass 3.5 million units by the end of the year.
As a subsidiary of DIEZ, Tradeling benefits from the authority’s strategic vision, driving innovation and economic growth in Dubai and beyond. The deal, witnessed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of DIEZ, marks a significant milestone for Tradeling, positioning it as a key player for global brands with anticipated annual revenue exceeding AED2 billion.
The acquisition involves 100% of A&T Holding FZCO, which owns Axiom’s major distribution businesses across the region. These include Axiom Distribution (UAE), specializing in technology distribution and mobile handset experience stores; Axiom International Distribution FZCO (UAE), handling technology distribution in UAE free zones and global exports; and Axiom Telecom Saudi Arabia Co (KSA), which provides distribution services across Saudi Arabia and international markets.
Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Executive Chairman of DIEZ, stated, “This acquisition marks a pivotal moment in Tradeling’s mission to transform the B2B e-commerce landscape in the Middle East. By combining Tradeling’s digital capabilities with Axiom’s distribution networks, we are creating an ecosystem that delivers unparalleled value to businesses throughout the region.”
“This transaction aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the emirate’s economy by 2033. Tradeling is poised to drive significant growth and attract global companies looking to expand into the Middle East,” he added.
Tradeling, based in Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZ), operates the largest B2B e-commerce platform in the MENA region.
Axiom Telecom CEO Fahad AlBannai remarked, “For over 20 years, Axiom has been a trusted leader in technology distribution across the GCC. This transaction represents an exciting new phase, enabling Tradeling to leverage our infrastructure and market expertise to enhance its offering. We are proud to see our legacy continue as part of Tradeling’s growth strategy.”
Tradeling CEO Alastair Croker said, “By integrating Axiom Telecom’s distribution business into our operations, we are not only expanding our capabilities but also reshaping the technology distribution landscape across the MENA region. This strategic move will provide businesses access to global brands while supporting their success in a competitive market. At Tradeling, we are committed to establishing Dubai as a hub for advanced trade and fostering a connected ecosystem that empowers businesses to thrive.”
