Morocco-based retail tech startup z.systems has secured $1 million in funding through a round led by MNF Ventures, with additional support from Witamax, CASHPLUS Ventures, and Kalys Ventures. This investment underscores the growing interest in z.systems’ innovative approach to transforming the region’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) retail sector.
Founded in 2024 by Meriem Benabad and Samer Choumar, z.systems is a super app designed to modernize B2B trade and distribution across various retail industries. While initially focusing on FMCG, the company plans to expand into other sectors, including construction materials, home products, furniture, and electronics.
Meriem Benabad, co-founder of z.systems, brings her expertise from founding other retail tech ventures, such as Awal, to the company. Through z.systems, the startup offers mom-and-pop stores streamlined delivery and inventory management solutions, helping small retailers operate more efficiently and stay competitive in a fast-evolving market.
