Parkin Company Partners with BATIC Investment to Revolutionize Parking Infrastructure in Saudi Arabia

Parkin Company, the largest provider of paid public parking facilities in Dubai, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BATIC Investment and Logistics Company, a major Saudi conglomerate listed on the Saudi Exchange. This partnership aims to reshape Saudi Arabia’s parking infrastructure by integrating advanced digital technologies to improve efficiency, access, and customer experience.

The MoU outlines plans for collaboration between Parkin’s operational expertise and Smart City Solutions Co (SCSC), a subsidiary of BATIC and the leading paid public parking provider in Saudi Arabia. The partnership will leverage cutting-edge technologies such as AI-driven systems, real-time data analytics, digital gates, smart sensors, and smart cameras to enhance parking space utilization, reduce congestion, and streamline operations.

This collaboration aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which focuses on modernizing the kingdom’s infrastructure and promoting the adoption of smart city solutions. The partnership will also work with municipalities, real estate developers, shopping centers, hotels, and other commercial venues to expand paid parking services across Saudi Arabia.

Engineer Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, emphasized the importance of the partnership for both companies and their long-term growth in the region. He stated, “This technology-driven partnership with BATIC is a major milestone and aligns with our commitment to international expansion. By combining our operational expertise with BATIC’s presence in Saudi Arabia, we’re poised to deliver scalable, customer-focused parking solutions that will support economic growth in the kingdom.”

The partnership aims to tap into the growing demand for tech-enabled parking solutions across Saudi Arabia, where BATIC, through SCSC, already manages one of the largest parking networks with 195,000 spaces across five cities. Parkin’s expertise, combined with SCSC’s footprint, offers a significant opportunity to transform the country’s parking landscape.

Mohammed Alzamil, MD and group CEO of BATIC, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, noting, “This landmark partnership brings together two leaders with complementary operations, technology, and expertise. It will optimize parking services across our extensive asset base, contributing to better mobility in Saudi Arabia and aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.”

The partnership’s use of technology is expected to ease traffic congestion in major urban centers and improve the quality of life for residents and visitors. Parkin’s entry into the Saudi market strengthens its position as a regional leader in parking solutions, paving the way for further expansion in the GCC.

The MoU sets the stage for both companies to explore collaboration opportunities, including synergies between Parkin’s Dubai operations and SCSC’s network in Saudi Arabia. The agreement also lays the groundwork for seeking any necessary legal and regulatory approvals.
