Taheel and Telecom Egypt Launch Training Program to Empower Persons with Disabilities

The National Network for PWD Services (Taheel), in collaboration with Telecom Egypt, has launched a specialized training program focusing on English language proficiency and basic computer skills. This initiative is part of Taheel’s ongoing efforts to provide training services for persons with disabilities (PwD).

The program aims to strengthen PwD competencies, enhance their skills, and prepare them for the job market. Targeting 500 participants, the program will equip individuals with essential skills to help them secure meaningful employment. Telecom Egypt’s Training Sector is responsible for delivering the program.

Taheel is a joint initiative that involves the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the Ministry of Social Solidarity, and the Ministry of Labor. Its mission is to provide PwDs with access to a broad range of services, including training, qualifications, and employment opportunities tailored to their specific disabilities and geographical locations.

The network also partners with various organizations to expand training and qualification opportunities for PwDs, boosting their competitiveness and aiding their integration into the labor market by ensuring they are placed in roles suited to their abilities.
