Saudi Arabia Launches Unified Digital Platform for Hajj Permits

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), has launched a unified digital platform for issuing Hajj permits called “Tasreeh.” The platform, designed for both domestic and international pilgrims, issues official permits for entry into Mecca and the holy sites.

Tasreeh is fully integrated with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah via the Nusuk platform, ensuring that only authorized individuals can access Mecca during the upcoming Hajj season. The platform also facilitates the entry of workers, volunteers, and their transportation vehicles, with all permits accessible for verification through the national Tawakkalna application, streamlining coordination and enforcement efforts.

Developed by SDAIA and key government agencies, Tasreeh enhances interoperability, standardizes procedures, and contributes to the seamless delivery of services to pilgrims. The platform is aligned with the objectives of the Doyof Al Rahman Programme, a cornerstone of Saudi Vision 2030.

One of the platform’s key innovations is its integration with the Maidan application, which allows security personnel at Mecca’s entry points to automatically scan and verify digital permits. This technological advancement offers a fast, flexible, and secure method for managing access during one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.
