The 2025 Bangladesh Technical Seminar, hosted by South Korea’s Ohyoung Inc. and local partner TeXco Tech, was held in Dhaka to promote sustainable practices in Bangladesh’s textile industry. The seminar showcased Ohyoung’s latest innovations in dyeing technology aimed at improving efficiency, environmental responsibility, and global competitiveness.
The event was attended by key figures including Jinwook Chung, President of Ohyoung Inc., Park Young-sik, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Bangladesh, and Md. Anwarul Haque Tutul, Managing Partner of TeXco Tech. Jinhak Hur, Director General of KOTRA Dhaka, also participated, highlighting the growing commercial partnership between Bangladesh and South Korea.
Ambassador Park emphasized Korea’s long-standing investment in Bangladesh’s ready-made garment (RMG) sector, pointing to initiatives like the Korean Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) and the upcoming Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA), which he described as a significant opportunity to increase bilateral trade in textiles and apparel. He reiterated Korea’s commitment to supporting Bangladesh’s industrial growth, supply chain innovation, and infrastructure development.
The seminar focused on Ohyoung’s role as a sustainable dyestuff provider. President Jinwook Chung underscored that sustainability is now a key priority in the company’s R&D, production, and customer service efforts. The seminar’s technical workshops provided insights into process optimization, pilot projects, and incorporating advanced dyeing technology into Bangladeshi textile factories.
This seminar represents a significant milestone in Bangladesh’s ongoing efforts to become a global leader in sustainable textile manufacturing, positioning the country to meet growing demand for environmentally friendly production while fostering international collaboration and innovation.
