Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus emphasized the interim government’s sincerity in developing Bangladesh’s telecommunication and information technology (IT) sectors, ensuring transparency and accountability in all related activities. He shared these remarks in a message on the eve of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, celebrated in Bangladesh on May 17 with the theme “Gender Equality in Digital Transformation.”
Expressing delight over the observance of the day in Bangladesh, Yunus stressed that equal participation of men and women in all aspects of digital transformation and telecommunication services is essential for building a discrimination-free, modern society.
He reaffirmed the interim government’s commitment to providing equal opportunities and rights for both genders in the digital realm, reflecting the spirit of the July mass uprising.
