The Saudi Film Commission has announced the launch of JAX Film Studios, a state-of-the-art, fully integrated production complex in Riyadh. Covering over 7,000 square meters, the facility represents a major milestone in Saudi Arabia’s efforts to develop a competitive and connected film and media industry.
Scheduled for completion later this year, JAX Film Studios will feature two expansive 1,500-square-meter soundstages, a virtual production stage powered by Sony’s latest screen technology, a private cinema, production prep areas, meeting rooms, dining spaces, and a VIP lounge. The complex is designed to meet global production standards.
Strategically located near hotels, Riyadh’s international airport, restaurants, and a vibrant network of industry professionals, the studios will provide local filmmakers with convenient access to crews, equipment, and post-production services—all within a 20-minute radius.
Abdullah Al-Qahtani, CEO of the Saudi Film Commission, described JAX Film Studios as a key element in building a world-class cinema ecosystem. The studio aims to empower Saudi creative talent while attracting international filmmakers by offering facilities aligned with global industry standards.
