From May 21 to 23, Morocco welcomed the Smart City Morocco RoadShow & Expo 2025/2030, a landmark event driving sustainable urban development across the nation and Africa. Co-organized by Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique (UM6P), Casa Events & Animation, and the FIWARE Foundation, the mobile forum toured Casablanca, Rabat, and Benguerir, fostering innovation, cross-sector dialogue, and inclusive policymaking.
Aligned with King Mohammed VI’s vision, the event focused on creating resilient, connected, and equitable cities, anticipating Morocco’s role as a co-host for the FIFA World Cup 2030 alongside Spain and Portugal. The RoadShow commenced in Casablanca with the 9th edition of Casablanca Smart City, themed “Smart NexGen Cities: Innover pour une métropole durable et inclusive,” emphasizing innovation for sustainable and inclusive metropolitan growth.
