The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) of Bahrain recently welcomed a delegation from Oman’s Foreign Ministry, led by Eng. Khalid bin Ghulam Al Zadjali, Head of Oman’s Digital Transformation Office. The visit aimed to strengthen GCC cooperation by exchanging knowledge on Bahrain’s advanced digital transformation journey.
Ali Abdulaziz Janahi, Deputy Chief Executive of Electronic Transformation at iGA, emphasized the deep historic ties between Bahrain and Oman, praising Oman’s own digital progress. He highlighted Bahrain’s focus on innovation, integration, and inclusivity in building a sustainable, citizen-centric digital ecosystem.
During the visit, the delegation explored Bahrain’s national digital frameworks and government eServices, including the national digital transformation plan, mobile app integration strategy, and enhancements to the National Portal (bahrain.bh). Demonstrations featured platforms like MyGov, Al-Tajer, Tawasul, and Mawaeed.
The meeting also showcased Bahrain’s 2024 Global Digital Twinning Initiative, positioning the Kingdom as a leader in eGovernment collaboration and accelerating international digital governance cooperation.
This exchange further advances GCC efforts toward smart governance, regional synergy, and digital empowerment.
