Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), Telco Integrators Pvt Ltd (TI), and Kacific Broadband Satellites Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly expand high-speed satellite internet, broadband, and voice services throughout Pakistan. This collaboration aims to improve connectivity in remote and underserved areas by combining PTCL’s extensive fiber and submarine cable network, Telco Integrators’ local technical expertise, and Kacific’s advanced satellite broadband technology.
PTCL will provide the backbone infrastructure, leveraging its national network that spans from Khyber to Karachi and connects to global submarine cable systems. Telco Integrators will serve as Kacific’s local service enabler, managing deployment and operation of satellite-based broadband and communication services. The partnership also plans to market and distribute Kacific’s offerings to telecom operators, enterprises, and small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), broadening access to reliable internet services across Pakistan.
Aamer Ejaz, Group Vice President at PTCL, described the partnership as a significant milestone in enhancing digital connectivity and promoting socio-economic development by reaching previously inaccessible regions. Kacific CEO Christian Patouraux emphasized the goal of ensuring no one is left behind in the digital era, while Telco Integrators CEO Imtiaz Ahmed Laghari highlighted their role in translating satellite technology into practical, user-centric solutions.
With more than half of Pakistan’s population still lacking reliable broadband, this alliance represents a strong commitment to bridging the digital divide. By delivering high-speed internet to rural communities, SMEs, and public institutions, the initiative seeks to unlock economic opportunities and accelerate Pakistan’s overall digital transformation.
