STC Bahrain has entered a strategic partnership with global technology leader Huawei to jointly develop next-generation 5G-Advanced (5G-A) and AI-driven digital services. This collaboration aims to accelerate innovation, expand monetization opportunities, and bolster Bahrain’s digital ecosystem in the emerging TechCo era.
The partnership outlines a roadmap for joint research and development, market expansion, and building a robust ecosystem focused on AI-enhanced digital solutions and enterprise 5G Mobile Private Networks (MPNs). It will enable more efficient network operations and tailored ICT services across industries.
Eng. Khalid Al Osaimi, CEO of STC Bahrain, highlighted the collaboration as a key step in leading Bahrain’s digital transformation by delivering personalized, future-proof services in a highly connected world. Steven Yi, President of Huawei Middle East & Africa, emphasized the shared commitment to driving innovation through 5G-A and AI technologies.
Key areas of focus include pioneering 5G advancements, optimized spectrum use, AI-powered network optimization, and fully managed private networks leveraging cloud and edge computing. The partnership also plans comprehensive training programs to cultivate AI and emerging tech expertise.
By combining Huawei’s innovation and STC Bahrain’s market insights, the alliance aims to accelerate Bahrain’s digital leadership and position the country at the forefront of regional AI and 5G-A adoption.
