Gamezop Commits $4 Million to Expand Middle East Presence with Bahrain HQ

India-based casual games company Gamezop has announced a $4 million investment to grow its operations in the Middle East by establishing a new office in Bahrain, which will serve as its regional headquarters for the MENA region. The investment aims to accelerate local hiring, support potential acquisitions, onboard 1,000 new apps, and target an additional $6 million in revenue within the next 18 months.

Founded in 2016 and backed by BITKRAFT Ventures, Gamezop is headquartered in Gurgaon, India. The company operates over 9,000 apps across 70 countries, delivering casual games through an instant play model that enables quick access and engagement.

Co-founder Gaurav Agarwal explained that Bahrain was chosen due to its strategic location, business-friendly policies, and access to the wider region. He expressed confidence that Bahrain’s supportive government initiatives and proactive Economic Development Board will continue attracting global companies to set up regional hubs. Agarwal sees this move as the start of a strong digital bridge between India and the Middle East.

Musab Abdulla, Executive Director of ICT at the Bahrain Economic Development Board, highlighted Bahrain’s growing gaming and content creation ecosystem, fueled by robust digital infrastructure, government support, and a talented creative workforce. He noted that the arrival of innovative companies like Gamezop accelerates the sector’s growth, generating new opportunities for local developers and solidifying Bahrain’s status as a creative industry hub in the region.
