Kamal ElSoueni, an Egyptian entrepreneur, designs urban mobility solutions by studying how people move within cities, focusing on practical, clean technology applications. He co-founded Rabbit Mobility, launched in 2020, a micro-mobility platform offering electric scooters and bikes for short-distance travel across Egypt’s major cities.
Rabbit Mobility operates a fleet of electric vehicles accessible via a dedicated mobile app available on Android and iOS. The platform offers two rental models: on-demand “Unlock & Go” and longer-term “Day Rentals.” Users find vehicles, scan a QR code to unlock, and return them to designated areas. The app also supports booking, payment management, and subscription plans like Rabbit Prime, which provides discounts on unlocking and booking fees.
The app includes a zone management system to ensure compliance with traffic rules. Since its inception, Rabbit Mobility has saved over 50,000 kilograms of CO₂ emissions and recorded over one million kilometers traveled, contributing to reduced traffic congestion and pollution in Egypt.
ElSoueni holds a finance degree from the American University in Cairo (2013) and studied blockchain strategy at Oxford’s Saïd Business School in 2018. His career began as a sales intern at PwC Egypt in 2011, followed by roles in business development at Easy Taxi Egypt and Barclays Egypt, marketing at Etisalat Misr, and management consulting at PwC Middle East until 2019.
