Saudi Arabian VSAT integrator and ISP First Gulf Company (FGC) has signed an agreement with Arabsat to jointly provide exclusive VSAT and satellite data services across Saudi Arabia. Leveraging Arabsat’s geostationary Ku-band satellite infrastructure alongside FGC’s operational expertise, the partnership aims to offer high-capacity, fully managed data and IP-based connectivity tailored for telcos, mobile operators, and ISPs.
At launch, the service will deliver 140 Mbps connectivity, with projections to grow over 70% during the contract term. Designed for scalability, the offering will support emerging technologies such as IoT, cloud computing, and AI-driven applications to meet evolving market demands.
Joe Chbat, Executive VP of FGC’s Systems Division, emphasized that the service will empower organizations, especially in remote locations, to sustain and monitor business operations effectively, reducing operational risks while enhancing security and profitability—key benefits for sectors like oil & gas and mining.
Chbat described the partnership with Arabsat as a strategic expansion to bolster digital connectivity throughout Saudi Arabia.
