The Ministry of Social Development in Bahrain has signed a cooperation agreement with the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) and Atyaf eSolutions to develop an integrated digital platform aimed at enhancing services for civil society organisations across the Kingdom. The agreement was signed by Zeyad Darwish (Ministry Undersecretary), Hisham Abu Alfateh (NBB Chief Corporate Communications Officer), and Ubaydli Ubaydli (Chairman of Atyaf eSolutions), which will lead the technical implementation.
Minister Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi highlighted the partnership as a model of government and national institution integration, designed to boost the civil sector’s efficiency and enable non-profits to better fulfill their social missions. NBB’s support aligns with its corporate social responsibility efforts and commitment to sustainable development in Bahrain.
The digital system will streamline and automate processes for associations and civil society organisations, improving transaction facilitation, transparency, and response times, ultimately fostering a more effective civil society ecosystem in the Kingdom.
