Riyadh-based AI startup Wittify.ai has secured $1.5 million in pre-seed funding from Saudi angel investors, including high-net-worth individuals from the Alrajhi, Alsowayan, and Alateeq families. Founded in 2024, Wittify develops AI agents tailored for Arabic-speaking markets, featuring proprietary Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) systems trained on over 25 Arabic dialects.
Operating from Riyadh, Dubai, and Cairo, Wittify’s beta platform enables businesses to deploy AI agents via a no-code interface, handling voice, text, and multimodal interactions across mobile apps, websites, and contact centers without requiring technical expertise.
CEO Nader El-Batrawi emphasized the company’s mission to prioritize Arabic as a core language within AI, while also supporting multilingual scalability. Co-founder and Chief AI Officer Dr. Sarah Alhumoud, with a PhD from the University of Glasgow and MIT postdoctoral experience, highlighted the startup’s blend of global AI models and proprietary Arabic speech technologies to create culturally intelligent, human-like agents.
Currently serving enterprise and government clients, Wittify participates in Saudi accelerator programs including stc’s inspireU, MISK Entrepreneurship Foundation with Plug and Play, and TikTok’s Blossom Accelerator.
The funding will drive product development, expand Wittify’s footprint across MENA markets, and deepen investments in Arabic speech technologies.
