Huawei and Saudi Ministry Launch Future Skills Center to Accelerate Digital Talent Development

Huawei, in partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), inaugurated the Future Skills Center in Riyadh, reinforcing their commitment to advancing national digital transformation and empowering local talent. The launch ceremony featured prominent dignitaries, including Vice Minister Haytham Al-Ohali, China’s Ambassador Chang Hua, and Huawei Saudi Arabia Chairman Liam Zhao.

The Future Skills Center builds upon the success of Huawei’s 2022 “Future Space” exhibition, the largest of its kind outside China, which showcased cutting-edge technologies such as autonomous driving, 3D printing, and brainwave robot control. The exhibition has welcomed over 35,000 visitors and conducted 270+ training sessions for more than 10,000 participants over three years.

Designed as a dynamic hub for immersive learning and innovation, the center offers hands-on training in next-generation technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), 5G, and smart applications across diverse industries. It aims to develop digital skills aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives and evolving technological landscape.

Vice Minister Al-Ohali emphasized that enhancing digital capabilities is critical to developing human capital and driving growth in the technology and economic sectors. Ambassador Chang highlighted the center as a symbol of deepening China-Saudi cooperation in education, innovation, and technology, reflecting a shared vision for sustainable growth through knowledge exchange.

Huawei Saudi Arabia Chairman Liam Zhao noted the evolution from inspiration at Future Space to tangible momentum in developing local talent and expanding digital skills access. The Future Skills Center aligns with Saudi Arabia’s national strategy to cultivate a digitally enabled society and foster a competitive knowledge-based economy through training, certification, and practical applications.
