IFS, a leading enterprise cloud and Industrial AI software provider, has announced a strategic partnership with carbon intelligence platform Climatiq alongside the launch of its new Emissions Management module within IFS Cloud. This initiative integrates sustainability directly into business operations, enabling companies to make informed, carbon-conscious decisions using their own data.
The partnership features Climatiq’s carbon calculation engine and a comprehensive database of scientifically validated emission factors embedded within IFS Cloud. The Emissions Management module automates carbon emissions calculations leveraging the existing asset hierarchy, ensuring fast, consistent, and accurate tracking of emissions sources.
To support this launch, IFS and Climatiq co-authored a white paper titled “IFS Cloud: Carbon Emissions Scope 3 Overview and Statement of Direction,” outlining how embedded sustainability capabilities transform operational data into actionable carbon insights. This facilitates streamlined reporting aligned with global frameworks such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), empowering smarter, greener business decisions.
Caitlin Keam, VP of Sustainability Applications at IFS, highlighted the importance of adapting to evolving sustainability regulations through integrated, real-time emissions insights. Hessam Lavi, CEO and co-founder of Climatiq, emphasized the collaboration’s role in embedding climate impact at the core of business workflows, driving practical, data-driven climate action.
IFS’s sustainability commitment is further endorsed by investment from Generation Investment Management, reinforcing its dedication to advancing green innovation.
