Fortinet Expands Cloud Security in ASEAN and South Asia with New FortiCNAPP PoP in Singapore

Fortinet has launched a new regional Point-of-Presence (PoP) in Singapore for its Lacework FortiCNAPP Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform, expanding advanced cloud security services across ASEAN and South Asia. The investment supports data residency, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation efforts in the region.

As cloud adoption accelerates, organizations face complex multi-cloud environments, evolving regulations, and sophisticated cyber threats. The Singapore PoP—Fortinet’s second in Asia-Pacific after Australia—offers localized security services to protect cloud-native applications while maintaining sensitive data control.

FortiCNAPP, delivered as a service, combines AI-powered threat detection, vulnerability management, compliance insights, and behavioral analytics into a unified solution. The platform secures applications, infrastructure, and workloads across public, private, and hybrid clouds, covering the full application lifecycle from development to runtime.

The launch brings key benefits: enhanced data residency for regional compliance, faster service performance with reduced latency, and stronger regulatory alignment. It also strengthens Fortinet’s partner ecosystem, enabling localized, value-added cloud security services.

The expansion comes as 78% of organizations in ASEAN and South Asia use multiple cloud providers, with 61% citing security and compliance as top adoption concerns. Fortinet says the Singapore PoP will help customers meet these challenges while boosting operational agility and cyber resilience.
