Spoilz Secures Investment from Merak Capital, Impact46 to Power Saudi Gaming Ambitions

Riyadh – Spoilz, a Saudi gaming studio known for its fun-driven and culturally resonant titles, has secured new investment from Merak Capital, Impact46, and other backers, marking a significant step in its expansion journey. The funding will enable Spoilz to scale up its development and LiveOps capabilities, build globally competitive mobile games, and attract top gaming talent to the Kingdom.

Founded in 2020 by Musab Almalki, Spoilz has quickly risen in the regional gaming scene with casual, bite-sized experiences that resonate with players. Its portfolio includes viral hits such as Climb Up #3D, #Break ’Em All, and the chart-topping word game Last Letter. Beyond mobile, the company has expanded into PC, console, and smart TVs, blending cultural relevance with global appeal.

Spoilz also provides B2B and LiveOps services for MENA and institutional partners across education, entertainment, and innovation. Its services cover market analysis, UI/UX design, localisation, and player-engagement strategies, powered by AI-driven development pipelines and cross-device infrastructure. This dual approach positions Spoilz as both a content creator and service provider, capable of scaling IPs across multiple platforms.

“This investment is a major leap forward for Spoilz,” said Musab Almalki, CEO and Founder. “We’re building more than games; we’re building experiences that connect with everyday players while reflecting the creativity and identity of our region. With Merak Capital’s support, we’ll level up our development pipeline, expand our LiveOps offering, and bring Saudi-born mobile games to the world stage.”

The investment aligns with Merak Capital’s dedicated gaming fund, which supports culturally rooted IPs and scalable gaming ventures in Saudi Arabia. The fund is part of the Kingdom’s broader strategy under Vision 2030 to establish itself as a global hub for gaming and interactive entertainment.

Abdulelah Alshareef, Vice President of Venture Capital at Merak Capital, added: “Our investment in Spoilz affirms Merak Capital’s confidence in Saudi creativity to compete globally. We believe Spoilz is a model of innovation and ambition that will contribute to strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a global hub for gaming.”

As Saudi Arabia deepens its investment in gaming as a pillar of its digital economy, Spoilz stands out as a homegrown studio bridging local culture with global markets, shaping the next wave of mobile and cross-platform entertainment.
